Basmati Lime Rice

Basmati rice is a long-grain, aromatic rice variety that originated in the Indian subcontinent. It is a popular choice for many cuisines, particularly in South Asia, Middle Eastern, and Persian dishes. The unique aroma and flavor of Basmati rice are attributed to its natural essential oils, which are released during cooking.

The grains of Basmati rice are longer and thinner than most other rice varieties, and they tend to remain separate and fluffy after cooking, making it a perfect choice for biryanis, pilafs, and other rice-based dishes. Basmati rice is also known for its health benefits, as it is a good source of carbohydrates, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals.

Adding the juice and zest from a lime gives it a nice kick for using with black beans or in burritos.
